The looming deadline of winter break forces Victor and Melanie to confront their unspoken feelings for one another. While their friends Landon and Rita provide comedic and often blunt encouragement, both Victor and Melanie remain nearly paralyzed by their own "what-ifs" and rehearsed monologues. This tension builds to a quiet breaking point during a group movie outing, where a crowded theater and a shared armrest finally bridge the gap between them.
